Make room for what comes next.
House clearance, with care.
Moving, downsizing, preparing a home for sale, or clearing a property before a tenancy change? Home & Heart helps you sort what to keep, pass on, reuse, or remove. We agree the work and price in writing before it begins.
Clear scope in writing
The work and price are agreed before clearance begins.
Decisions made together
We confirm what you want to keep, pass on, reuse, or remove.
Reuse where suitable
Items are considered for resale, donation, or responsible disposal according to the agreed scope.
Moving, downsizing, or preparing a home for sale?
We make the next step easier.
Home & Heart supports Auckland households with house clearance for moves, downsizing, pre-sale preparation, and property transitions. We confirm what will be kept, passed on, reused, or removed, then agree the work in writing before it begins. Deceased-estate clearance is available when needed.
Ken, a second-generation Japanese New Zealander, has lived and worked across New Zealand, Japan, and the wider Asia-Pacific for 15 years. His cross-cultural experience informs the care Home & Heart brings to every job, large or small.

Items are handled with care and respect throughout the process. No ceremony, no delay, and work follows the agreed scope.
A few words and a minute's silence before clearance begins. Significant items can be set aside and photographed for your confirmation.
Where appropriate and available, we can help coordinate a ceremonial karakia with a kaumātua or cultural representative before clearance begins.
Simple, transparent, from first call to final report.
Initial Consultation
We conduct a conversation by phone or in person. We document the family's wishes, identify items of sentimental value, and confirm your farewell preference.
On-Site Assessment & Quote
We visit the property in person, photograph systematically, assess volume and access conditions, and issue a written quote. The quote states the disposal allowance (standard: up to 500kg of general waste) and how any excess is handled.
Clearance Day
If ceremonial karakia has been arranged, the kaumātua or appropriate cultural representative may lead karakia before clearance begins. We handle reselling, donating and disposal.
Aftercare Report
You receive a completion summary within 3 business days. We send the detailed aftercare report within 30 business days of completion, once relevant third-party records are available.

Resale Discount
Where our assessment finds items we expect to be able to resell, that's reflected in your quote — typically 20% to 50% off the price, depending on what's there.
We don't value your things item by item for this; the quote reflects the overall clearance job, not a separate appraisal of each item. Goods taken as part of the clearance become ours on removal, and what they make (or don't) is ours too. Occasionally it covers the job entirely, and the clearance costs you nothing.
Resale Consignment
For a single item assessed at more than NZ$300 — a piece of furniture, jewellery, art — you can keep ownership and have us sell it on your behalf instead.
Once it sells, you receive 50% of the net proceeds after seller commission and platform fees, paid within 30 calendar days of our receipt of cleared funds. If it doesn't sell, you owe nothing. Full details →
Real clearances,
told honestly.
This section is empty on purpose — we're not writing reviews for clients or borrowing generic ones from elsewhere. As real clearances are completed, clients' own words go here, unedited.
No reviews published yet. If we've cleared a property for you, we'd genuinely like to hear how it went — good or mixed. Attach a photo or anything else relevant if you'd like.
Thank you — we've received it and will follow up if we'd like to feature it here.
We're here. Let's talk.
For a smooth and transparent process, we recommend using our quick booking system. If you need a sensitive conversation first, our direct lines are always open.
